Our Love Story
Amanda and Chris met the modern way - on a dating app! They matched and briefly chatted via the app, yet the timing wasn’t quite right. One could say the next time they connect might have been fated… Years later in October 2019 they matched again and decided to meet. After a few dates - and a lot of cocktails - things started to take off. Before too long they jumped headfirst into the ultimate couples test; an overseas holiday. New Year’s Eve and 6 nights in Singapore was a wild success. Little did they know it would be a long time before their next passport stamp… Shortly after returning the unprecedented occurred; the first Covid lock down. Lock down for Amanda and Chris had a hidden benefit – it brought them closer together. With no access to shops, gyms, pubs, cafes, friends or the office they made the most of their time together. Lots of long walks, dinners and drinks at home together, lots of sleepovers, board games, a cheese and dip platter (or three) and plenty of banter. Lockdown for them was not so bad after all. So, what did they do after the 1st lockdown? They decided to move in together! This all occurred right before the unexpected 2nd lock down. Lock down 2.0 and the following year 2021 was a true test of relationship endurance. And for Amanda and Chris it strengthened their bond. By now they had fallen in love and knew they wanted to do life together. As soon as lock down 2.0 concluded things really picked up. They expanded their holidays interstate and spent lots of time with friends and family. Together they made the most of the freedom they used to take for granted. Entering the year 2022 they were gifted with the most amazing news either had ever received… Amanda was pregnant with their daughter Melody! 2022 turned out to be the most incredible year. Chris proposed and a few months later they bought their beautiful home in Northwood. 2022 was the starting point for their beautiful family. As they say in the classics, the rest is history and here we are now, hoping you will join them on their special day.
